Refund, Cancellation & Weather Policy

1. Outdoor Events
Our Outdoor Cinema screenings and many other Taai Bekkies Events activities take place outdoors. All outdoor events are weather dependent. Safety takes priority over proceeding with an event in unsuitable conditions.
2. Weather Postponement
Where weather conditions make an event unsafe or impractical, Taai Bekkies Events may postpone or reschedule the event. Where a ticketed event is rescheduled, your existing ticket will automatically remain valid for the new date. You do not need to purchase another ticket.
3. Weather Decisions
Weather conditions can change quickly. We will endeavour to make postponement decisions as early as reasonably possible, but circumstances may occasionally require a decision on the day of the event. Updates may be communicated through our website, social-media channels, email, SMS or WhatsApp.
4. Customer Unable to Attend a Rescheduled Event
If you cannot attend a replacement date, contact tickets@taaibekkiesevents.co.za. Please include your name, ticket/order number, original event and contact details. We will assess the request in accordance with applicable consumer law and the circumstances of the postponement.
5. Customer Cancellation
Consumers may request cancellation of an advance booking. A reasonable cancellation charge may apply where permitted by the CPA. The CPA does not support treating every advance event booking as absolutely non-refundable; reasonableness depends on factors including notice, the nature of the service and the possibility of finding another customer.
6. Online Cooling-Off Period
Consumers should note that the ordinary ECTA seven-day cooling-off right does not generally apply to leisure services where the supplier undertakes to provide the service on a specific date or during a specific period. Dated event and cinema tickets can fall within this exclusion. This does not remove other rights a consumer may have under the CPA or other applicable law.
7. Permanent Event Cancellation
If Taai Bekkies Events permanently cancels a paid event and does not provide a replacement or rescheduled event, affected ticket holders will be offered an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law, which may include a refund.
8. Refund Processing
Where a refund is approved or legally required, it will normally be processed through the original payment method where reasonably possible. Processing times may depend on the payment provider or financial institution. Any treatment of booking or transaction fees will be subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the transaction.
9. Programme Changes
A change to a vendor, performer, activity, attraction, movie start time or other reasonable programme detail does not automatically constitute cancellation of the entire event.
